Sterling National Bank seeks to create vibrant, resilient communities where people have access to housing and educational platforms, as well as community services, resources, and care. We invest in projects that give families and neighborhoods the opportunity to thrive.

Building opportunity

What We Do

Creating vibrant, resilient communities.

At Sterling, we know that strong communities are ones where individuals, families, and businesses find a place to call their own. Our community lending and investment efforts focus on building communities that do just that.

A recognized leader in the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) space, we provide integral debt lending and equity investment for multifamily, affordable housing in the communities we serve. In addition, we offer financing to improve the environmental infrastructure for school districts, build or expand charter schools, hospitals, nursing homes, services for the LGBTQ community, homeless shelters, as well as healthcare facilities for seniors, veterans, and the disabled.

Sterling also provides financing and support to the small businesses that are the lifeblood of the markets we serve.
